help? could you explain? The Christian choice to commit to a life-long path of service and self-sacrifice…?
The Christian choice to commit to a life-long path of service and self-sacrifice occurs within an existential horizon of meaning charged with the promise of a new self - transformed into the image of the Son of God and a new world that reflects God’s glory.
could you explain? and perhaps give your opinion?
All people have a choice in life. They can be a servant of God, or a servant of Satan. There is no straddling the fence. When a person has heard the gospel and believes that Jesus is the son of God, and that he died for our sins, it brings about godly sorrow. They choose to repent (turn away from their sins) confess Jesus’ name before men then are baptized for the remission of sin (sins blotted out). They rise from their baptism a new creature, and will faithfully serve God for the remainder of their lives. It does require self sacrifice. It requires them to put other above them. It is not easy but it is worth it. To have that hope of eternal life in heaven, where is is no sin, no crying, no heartache or grief. It is much better than eternal torment in hell. There are so many lost souls and God wants them all to come to the knowledge of understanding, that is where the work of a Christian comes in. I have lived both lives. One as an alien sinner and now as a Christian. I prefer being a Christian. I know that if I make a mistake and sin, Jesus’ blood covers me when I repent and pray for God’s forgiveness.
