What are some natural remedies to clear up a sinus infection?

Posted by admin on Feb 16, 2011 under Natural Remedies

I have pretty bad allergies and just about every time the weather changes I get a sinus infection, complete with sore throat and usually an ear infection as well. It sucks, but I usually just bare with it until it clears up on it’s own, as I don’t want to have to constantly take medications for it. Anyway I was wondering if any of you could fill me in on any any natural remedies that may work for clearing up my sinuses, even if it’s just temporary. Thanks

here is 1 way: put chopped garlic into a bowl of hot water and inhale the steam 2-3 times a day. another way is:Mix 2 teaspoons of organic Apple Cider Vinegar in a full glass of warm water and drink it, do this 3 times a day. i hope these help

What natural remedies help with morning sickness?

Posted by admin on Jan 26, 2011 under Natural Remedies

I am about 9 weeks pregnant and have been hospitalized twice for sever morning sickness/dehydration. They’ve given me some pills to help, but they leave me tired and I can’t get out of bed most days. Are there any natural remedies, such as types of foods, juices, anything, that may help?

The most important thing right now is to stay hydrated. You really don’t want to be dehydrated, so drink as much as possible. Take small sips so as not to overwhelm your stomach. Water can sometimes hurt an empty stomach, so try ginger ale with the bubbles stirred out (carbonation can also hurt your stomach), powerade or gatorade, or juice, if you can manage it.

Other things that might work for you are popsicles or ices, and fruit–a lot of miserably pregnant women find that they CAN eat fruit, so try out different kinds if that appeals at all. For me, I found that I could eat (at different times) strawberries, grapefruit, and thinly sliced golden delicious apples. It was weirdly specific, but it kept me alive!

You might also want to try adding peanut butter to your crackers. Peanut butter has protein, which will make you feel better if you can keep it down.

You should try having very small "meals"–a bite of a cracker here and there when you can stomach it. A lot of people find that keeping crackers or something light next to their bed and taking a few bites before they even get out of bed in the morning. You will feel worse if your stomach is empty, so keeping food in it–even just a little bit–will help stave off the misery.

Good luck!

What are some natural remedies to thicken hair?

Posted by admin on Jan 6, 2011 under Natural Remedies

Since I colored and dyed my hair it has gotten thinner. I want to find some natural remedies because I feel that products will just make my hair worse because of the chemicals in them.

There are none. All claims to the contrary are lies designed to con you into purchasing overpriced items. Coloring and dying your hair is not good for it. If the damage that it does to your hair bothers you more than your natural hair color does then stop dying your hair.

You may want to take measures to promote hair health though in order to help reduce breakage which can thin out the appearance of your hair by reducing the number of hairs per square inch so stop blow drying and use conditioner.

What are some natural or herbal remedies for sleep paralysis?

I have terrible sleep paralysis and im a naturalist so what are some herbal or natural remedies?
Thanks

If you are looking for ways of dealing with your sleep paralysis then you will find this article very relevant. Go through it as it looks at the causes and offers solutions.

Sleep paralysis does not harm the body in any way but it can leave you feeling very tired and weak after a sleepless night. If you are experiencing frequent episodes then you might want to know if there is anything you can do to prevent sleep paralysis. You need to appreciate that this condition is a function of the mind and can be brought about by many things.

Some places that offer extensive, detailed information and remedies include any one of the following: how do you Stop Sleep Paralysis, Stop Sleep Paralysis, remedies to sleep paralysis

If you want to know how to prevent it then you must know how it is caused and what triggers. In all the cases anything that will disrupt your normal sleep cycle will trigger sleep paralysis. People who are under a lot of stress and tension are also likely to experience sleep paralysis.

Try to be in a relaxed mood when you go to sleep. You could try and channel out your stress and frustrations through exercise. The idea is to go to sleep with a stress free mind. There are also stimulants like caffeine, alcohol and tobacco that are capable of disrupting your sleep. If you want to prevent sleep paralysis then avoid taking these substances at night or before you sleep.

There are two things that will kick the brain out of sleep, light and sound. It is advisable to sleep in a dark room with all the appliances off. Keeping the radio and TV on while you sleep does little to improve the situation. Mantaining a regular sleeping schedule is also recommended. This will make sure the body gets used to waking up and sleeping at certain times only.

There are many ways in which you can prevent sleep paralysis. The techniques that I’ve talked about here are just some of the things that you can do. You can also get to know how other peoplel have dealt with the condition.

How can i remove pimples with natural home remedies?

Posted by admin on Jul 31, 2010 under Natural Remedies

I have seen people either get rid or decrease their pimples with natural remedies from home and I wondered what I could use. So are there any natural home remedies you use and if yes please put it down.

Natural Home Remedies :
Gram Flour, Termeric powder, Plain Yogurt or Curd, Milk or water…the measurements arent really needed….Make a paste out of it….Leave it on until it becomes dry…Its called Basin, it actually makes your skin fresh looking….be careful not to add too much termeric powder…just half a spoon…Also Lime Juice is good for your skin…but i am not sure if it would remove all pimples….
Here’s another way you could do it:
go to lovelyskin.com and you can find products there that can absolutely satisfy you, also if your buying anything, by the Obaig kit..dont buy it seprately…Also, if you can find one, get a Oil Control product (Netrogena Rapid Oil Control) Its usually in a orange and white tube…..it works great on me..I see less and less pimples… Next if you can find a body or face scrub, its good to make the pimples less noticiable…Also, one last tip, is that wash your face at least 3 times a day with products…Once in teh morning when you wake up, next after you go for an outing, or extra activities, etc and last, right when your about to sleep…Also dont forget to apply cream after each wash…not too much..but as neccessary..dont make it to oily or too dry..I recommend Ponds cream…it works great on my skin

Natural remedies to reduce swelling and get rid of bruising?

Posted by admin on Jun 21, 2010 under Natural Remedies

I pulled my quad playing softball and its really swollen and extremely bruised. Ive been to the doctor and everything .and so I have a prognosis. I just want the swelling to go down. Any natural home remedies to reduce swelling (other than the RICE method) and any remedies to getting rid of bruises quickly ??
Thanks!

this is probably too late for now but if you put it on right away arnica is an herb that can reduce bruising quite successfully I have read. Be sure it is the herb and not a homopathic one which many are]

One like herbpharm arnica oil would be recommended. You could get some now for the future and try it but I am not sure if it will help once the bruising sets in.

there are some suggestions here though that may well help

be sure you try to get organic herbs and if possible tinctures (these are liquid extracts with brown glass bottles with eye dropper tops) rather than capsuled herbs for best results

what are some natural remedies to treat really bad anxiety?

Posted by admin on Jun 18, 2010 under Natural Remedies

ive got really bad anxiety, and so far the onlt thing thats really helped it thats totally natural is marijuana, but i cant always get it cuz im 14 and i dont always have the money, so i was just wondering if anyone knew any cheap effective natural remedies, thanks!

Cutting caffeine and sugar will help, but doing some moderate exercise (walking, jogging, etc) can help quite a bit as well.
If you would like some added help, there are some natural products for stress and anxiety. Some of the most popular are GABA, L-Theanine, Rhodiola Rosea, 5-HTP, and L-Tryptophan.

What natural allergy remedies are there?

Posted by admin on May 21, 2010 under Natural Remedies

I am looking for some alternative natural remedies for allergies. Lorratadine works for me but I don’t want to keep taking tablets. I already do the washing hands, changing clothes and rinsing face things. Are there any foods or supplements that would help?

we and this "infernal " problem…
I know it gets on every body’s nerves… but unfortunately the only way to get ride off chemical drugs is to get ride of the causes of your kind of allergy itself!

some points to be cautioned of though are :

1-Try to expose your bedroom to sun and fresh air.keep your room dry.

2-do not get any pet with you at home.

3 - Wear dusts masks.

4- Do not leave your old books in your bed room.

5- Sponge pillow is better than cotton, and polestar is better than sponge..

6- Try breathing steam from hot water.and of courseot water.

ofcourse there are other alternitive remedies and herbal medicens…but they take long time to show thier action …+ they need complicated structure…adding one tea spoon of ginger and one spoon of honey into boiled water, could be usfull to reduce the sneezing and calm down the irritation in your nasal passeges.

-well at the end that seems as a list of punishment though !
