Posted by admin on Jun 18, 2010 under Personal Development

I have been asked at work to write a Personal Development Plan to be submitted to me by Friday. Where do I start, what do they want to know about me ? are there any examples or templates I could use as a good starting point ?

There are lots of templates if you google it - and I think there’s one on the businesslink website too. You can alter it to suit your business and role.

I have to talk about an experience that has led me to my personal development and just can’t seem to think of a good example. Help please!
This is for a scholarship

Hmmm. I started a website business and became really interested in programming and starting teaching myself PHP, Python and other languages. I think sometimes passions/hobbies can really lead to personal development. That and your friends/teachers of course. I think another turning point was camp before 11th grade…. It was sleepaway for 6 weeks and I really had some very influential experiences there.

How much does…….environment…gender….race….parents? If not any of these, what does?

All of the above. But I would tie race in with environment as it’s a product of social perceptions.

Please give an example of how you have taken ownership of your personal development or have

encouraged and supported the development of others. What was the situation? What did you do?

What was the outcome?

If anyone can help me with this question I’d be most grateful thanks.

I took my career in my hands. My life, especially my career was going nowhere. I had the qualification and talent, but still I was lagging behind. So, I just got a grip of my life and decided to change my whole working manner. Started putting in more hours and worked with goals in my mind.

The outcome is that I got two promotions and increments in less than 2 year :)

What do you think of self-hypnosis for personal development?

Posted by admin on Oct 29, 2009 under Personal Development

I think this is a great question. Self hypnosis or generative trance work speaks to our core selves, the original part of each of us that holds our unique aptitudes and creativity. Going to our source, which is a relaxing and meditative practice, can help us find basic truths about who we are and be a life-altering process. At a minimum, it is a relaxation practice. At a maximum, it becomes a way to heal past trauma and help the individual operate from a place of compassion about the self. From this compassionate and centered place, the individual’s world view expands and so too the individual’s life expands. Personal development, you bet! What do you think about self hypnosis for personal development? A good question indeed.

PDP

well, because it makes you look good to them so they will remember you when there is an opening that you can move forward to. Or, so you can make sure your goals are in line with the company goals. If your goals and their goals are too different, you may want to change your goals, or change your job.
